NFL DFS Sleepers for Week 2 – Best Values at DraftKings

I’ve got the best NFL DFS sleepers for week 2 at DraftKings. I know a lot of people say that, but I don’t want to push you to play guys just because they’re cheap. They should be options that actually pan out, too.

That’s why I’m not shoving a list of 10 NFL DFS values you need to roster. This batch of week 2 NFL DFS sleeper picks is much more concentrated – and they’re plays I actually like.

I wouldn’t necessarily lock them into every lineup, but they all stand out for a reason. There are safer week 2 NFL DFS core picks to confide in, but if you need some extra salary, try these fantasy sleepers at DK this week.

Quarterback – Malik Willis ($5k)

It sounds bad, but I actually don’t hate Malik Willis this week. Yes, he’s making his first ever start for the Green Bay Packers and he only got acquired by the team a couple of weeks ago, but hear me out.

First, Willis has a nice built in floor due to his rushing ability. Second, all of the negativity surrounding him stems from a disastrous first season. He didn’t play much at all in 2023, and he actually looked pretty good in preseason this year.

Lastly, we’ve never seen Malik Willis play on a team this good. Green Bay has a fantastic system and he has better weapons around him than he’s ever had before.

On top of all that, he faces a Colts defense that got gashed by the Texans last week. I do think playing both sides of this matchup (Indy’s defense and Jonathan Taylor) makes a lot of sense, but Willis is a viable punt that won’t be owned.

I’d reserve him only for GPPs, though. For SE, I much prefer Justin Fields. Willis just gives you a decent ceiling and a little extra breathing room in terms of salary relief.

Running Back – Jaleel McLaughlin ($4.5k)

I’d also keep an eye on the status of Josh Jacobs. He’s a good play against the Indy defense, but he’s also banged up. If he’s out, Emmanuel Wilson ($4.5k) could be viable.

Also, if you need to save at running back, you probably don’t need to take a deep dive. Just play Jordan Mason ($5.2k), who is chalky, but for very good reason.

That said, Jaleel got 15 total touches last week. If his role is going to stick, he’s a little too cheap if we’re rolling out a lot of lineups in GPPs.

McLaughlin is usually a very efficient rusher and he added five catches last week. The Steelers aren’t the softest of matchups, but this would be a pure price play. I still would suggest just eating the Jordan Mason chalk, but if you need running back sleepers, McLaughlin is among the best values at the position.

Wide Receiver – Wan’Dale Robinson ($4.3k)

I also like Andrei Iosivas ($3.8k) quite a bit if Tee Higgins is out again, while both Demarcus Robinson ($4k) and Tyler Johnson ($3.3k) are viable with Puka Nacua on IR.

That said, I am very interested in Robinson, who already has a role after catching six of 12 targets in week one. Add a potentially injured Malik Nabers to the mix, and he actually has some upside in week 2.

I know, trusting Giants players in any regards never feels good.

That said, Robinson had a huge role already, and Nabers not being able to suit up would cement him as one of the best week 2 NFL DFS sleepers.

Jaylin Hyatt ($3.1k) and perhaps Darius Slayton ($4.1k) would also be on the table, but I’d trust Wan’Dale considerably more.

Tight End – Greg Dulcich ($2.9k)

This could be a good week to give Greg Dulcich a try. He is really cheap for a starting tight end with a decent role, as he played 46 of Denver’s 69 snaps in week one.

He didn’t turn that into much (2 catches for 12 yards), but he’s an elite athlete for the TE position. In terms of opportunity and physical profile, he is quite simply way too cheap.

It’s also worth noting that he faces the Steelers, who so far rank 27th against fantasy tight ends in 2023. I know the sample size is small, but when you look at ability, price, and role, I think Dulcich is a viable dart throw in NFL DFS GPPs.

Picking NFL DFS Sleepers for Week 2

The big thing to consider when selecting NFL DFS sleeper picks is to make sure you have a good reason for playing them.

Here’s a checklist I like to work through anytime I decide to prioritize a cheap option in NFL DFS:

  • Talent level
  • Actual Role
  • Price
  • Matchup

It sounds pretty obvious, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people play a guy simply because he’s cheap or based on his athletic profile, while completely ignoring their matchup or snaps played.

Everyone on my list of week 2 NFL DFS sleepers has a role, is cheap, and looks to have NFL talent. The only downside for some spots could be matchup and game flow, but everything else makes them worth the risk.

Hopefully some of these fantasy football sleepers help your week 2 NFL DFS lineups. Good luck!
