Patrick Mahomes running from Commanders defender

Top NFL DFS Lineup for DraftKings – Saturday, January 6, 2023 (Week 18)

Saturday offers up a nice little two-game daily fantasy football slate. Only one of the games carries actual weight, but it’s still pro football, and there is money to be made.

I already dished out my top NFL DFS picks for this slate, but wanted to circle back to showcase my favorite lineup. You can roll with this squad if you’d like, or you can pick your spots.

My Favorite NFL DFS Lineup for Saturday, 1/6/2022

  • QB: Patrick Mahomes – Chiefs ($8.4k)
  • RB: Derrick Henry – Titans ($8k)
  • RB: Zamir White – Raiders ($4k)
  • WR: Davante Adams – Raiders ($8.8k)
  • WR: Kadarius Toney – Chiefs ($4k)
  • WR: Racey McMath – Titans ($3k)
  • TE: Travis Kelce – Chiefs ($7.9k)
  • FLEX: Marvin Jones Jr. – Jaguars ($3.6k)
  • DEFENSE: Las Vegas Raiders ($2.2k)

I am loading up on the studs in this one. You absolutely can play it a lot safer regardless of what type of contest you enter, but there’s actually a lot of logic involved here.

Personally, I think the Titans beat the Jags, and it will be behind a heavy dose of Henry. With him controlling the clock, I’ll simply run it back with a cheap punt in Marvin Jones. McMath is a major dice roll, but he’s the minimum and it’s possible the Titans could be without rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks.

I’m stacking the Chiefs game the rest of the way. Las Vegas has nothing to lose and should come out swinging, while KC will play hard as they try to secure the #1 seed in the AFC.

Kelce shredded the Raiders for four scores earlier this year, and the Chiefs don’t have anyone that can stop Tae. Both of these guys should wreck, while Toney and Mahomes completes my KC stack.

Zamir White may be the thing that brings this all together, as Josh Jacobs is in doubt for week 18.

Jacobs has talked up his teammate, and the talented rookie could see extra work in this one. You should also take a long look at Brandon Bolden if Jacobs sits, but White is a guy the Raiders should get a strong assessment of to close out the year if they can.

If you want to play it safer, you can scale back from Mahomes to Stidham and open up a ton of salary. In that case, I’d pay up over McMath and consider working in Evan Engram. Ideally, you’re at least getting that core of Henry/Kelce/Adams and building from there.

Looking for one daily fantasy fade candidate for this slate? I’d say it’s Kelce. I love him here, but Engram is half the price and is very appealing.
