Terry Rozier

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks for Wednesday, 3/1

March arrives and it is bringing gifts. If you have the funds, you can pay up for a shot at $1 million at Draft Kings, and even if you don’t, nine games are coming your way.

The NBA is back in full force, and I handed out some solid NBA DFS picks for last night’s slate. It was a pretty brutal night for daily fantasy basketball, however.

Tonight probably will be similar, but we can still try to win. I’ll get you started with my early NBA DFS picks to build around. Just make sure to adjust as needed prior to lock.

Terry Rozier, PG, Charlotte Hornets ($7.2k)

I am fine with any and all Hornets on this slate. Dennis Smith Jr. is cheaper and is also a fine option, but Rozier should be dominating the ball with LaMelo Ball done for the season with an ankle injury.

Rozier sports a nasty 30% usage and puts up 1.10 fantasy points per minute with Ball off the floor, per RotoGrinders.com’s CourtIQ.

Mark Williams and Kelly Oubre also look good with Ball sidelined, but Rozier is the one that stands out the most. He’ll be chalky – and Charlotte gets a tough matchup with the Suns – but this is a core play for me.

Dennis Schroder, PG, Los Angeles Lakers ($5.4k)

Hopefully DSJ garners a ton of ownership and we can get Schroder at fewer shares. I don’t know if I really care, though, as he’s got a big hand in L.A.’s offense with King James still on the shelf.

In fact, Schroder just dropped a nice little double-double last night.

That was in the face of a much tougher matchup, too. On Wednesday, he gets to face the Thunder, which helps him come in with a 34-point fantasy projection.

I’d keep an eye on the Lake Show potentially resting guys on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but since they’re shooting for the playoffs still, it’s less of a concern than usual.

Of course, he was benched last night, too.

I’m not sure that’d keep him from a key role again tonight, but it’s worth noting.

James Wiseman, PF/C, Detroit Pistons ($4.8k)

Another good sleeper pick for tonight is Detroit big man, James Wiseman. He’s taken over as the Pistons’ starting center with Jalen Duren out, and that doesn’t figure to change on Wednesday.

Wiseman only projects for about 28 minutes and 30 fantasy points, but I like that he’s eligible for PF, and he’s still pretty cheap.

A matchup with the Bulls (bad rebounding team) looks winnable on paper, too.

Anthony Davis, C, Los Angeles Lakers ($10.2k)

Lastly, I am going right back to the well and naming The Brow as my preferred stud of choice. This slate is not light on elite options, but there are question marks around most of the other spends.

The Brow will garner ownership, and thanks to the soft price, massive role, and easy matchup, that’s the only reason I’d consider looking elsewhere.

It’s up to you if you want to seek out enough value to also chase a big Damian Lillard night, or go get The Greek Freak or someone else.

I’ll probably just build my NBA DFS lineups around Davis, though.

That does it for Wednesday’s NBA DFS picks. Make sure you’re using updated information as far as lineups, ownership, and projections go, and adapt accordingly.
