Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Best NBA DFS Picks at DraftKings for 12/13/23

It’s often difficult to hone in on which NBA DFS picks belong in your lineup at DraftKings. It gets even harder on a big slate. That’s exactly what we have with nine games coming at us on Wednesday night.

The Bucks vs. Pacers game is rather alluring with an absurd 256 game total, so the trick will be deciding our exposure there and then filling in the other slots.

With that, let’s dive into my favorite NBA DFS plays for this slate.

Jalen Brunson, PG, Knicks ($8.2k)

Brunson remains too cheap. He is in a smash spot against a bad Jazz team that is bottom five in defensive efficiency. Tyrese Haliburton is appealing for game environment, but he’s really expensive.

I’d rather drop down to Brunson, who currently projects for 42 fantasy points on this slate. There is blowout risk here, but Brunson is a pretty good bet to get the job done for you in this spot.

OG Anunoby, SG, Raptors ($5.8k)

Toronto players look appealing tonight, as they’ll be hosting the Hawks. Atlanta pushes the third fastest pace in the NBA, and they also boast the league’s 27th ranked defense.

There are a lot of points up for grabs here. Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam are safer plays with higher ceilings, but OG is cheap exposure to this game.

Maybe we’re chasing here seeing as OG went off in his last contest.

Even so, he’s actually topped 41+ fantasy points in two of his last three games. He’s a really good price for the matchup, too, so I don’t think I’m being swayed too much by his recent outburst.

While I like him as I take an early look at Wednesday’s NBA DFS slate, I’d look for more value as injury news trickles in.

Brandon Ingram, SF, Pelicans ($7.8k)

I like Ingram tonight no matter how things shake out for the Pelicans in the injury department. He’s a really good price, he faces the awful Wizards, and he projects very well.

Perhaps some of his projection is acknowledging the status of Zion Williamson, who may not play due to an ankle injury.

I still like Ingram even if Zion is in, but I obviously am all in on him if Zion sits this one out. JV, CJ McCollum and other Pels would also start looking interesting in a hurry, but I’ll leave you with Ingram for now.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, Bucks ($11.4k)

The Greek Freak and Tyrese Haliburton are basically the same price, so this is a pretty easy call for me. I do admit ownership could factor into what I do here, but it’s awfully tough to get away from Giannis in this spot.

Damian Lillard is a nice price and in this same spot obviously, but only Joel Embiid has as much upside as the Freak on this slate.

Antetokounmpo enters Wednesday with the second best raw points projection, and he’s averaging 64 fantasy points per game in this matchup over two meetings this season.

The only reason you’re fading Giannis here is if you prefer Hali or Joel.

Myles Turner, C, Pacers ($7.3k)

There could be a ton of value at center on this slate, so take this NBA DFS pick with a grain of salt. Still, Turner is a reasonably price run back from Giannis in this game, and he projects very well.

JV is a cheaper pivot (although he could end up being far chalkier), and there are guys like Isaiah Hartenstein, Orlando Robinson, and Nick Richards that are all cheap and should project decently.

Turner is going to project better and he’s in the best game of the night, however. He feels like a great play, especially if you’re paying up for Giannis like me.

Building NBA DFS Lineups on 12/13

You probably can’t fit all of my top NBA DFS picks on this slate. You’ll need to pick your spots.

Of the lot, I’d certainly start by cutting out OG, assuming better value opens up. And if you do plan on using all of these plays, you better find three amazing sleeper picks.

That said, I am building around Giannis, and I’d keep an eye on the status of Zion Williamson. If he’s out, Ingram feels like a lock, although he’s a good enough price to warrant playing, regardless.

It’s early, so don’t make concrete decisions just yet. You should have some type of action in that Pacers/Bucks contest, and then see what value opens up throughout the day.

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck!
