Luka Doncic

NBA DFS Picks for Tuesday, 1/10/2023 – Stack the Heat and Suns?

The Tuesday daily fantasy basketball slate seems to be piecing itself together for us. Or is it tearing itself apart? All I know is there is some obvious chalk, and I’m not sure I want to fade it.

Most of it, anyways.

There is still time in the day to toss this slate on it’s side, but I have a core in mind to build my NBA DFS lineups around. Here are my three favorite NBA DFS picks for this slate.

Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks ($12.6k)

Doncic is expensive, and there’s a very real chance you could get screwed if you roll with him. He’s in the last game of the night, but he is now probable to play.

He’d put you in a bit of a pickle if he were to ultimately be ruled out, but you could always go to Spencer Dinwiddie and/or Christian Wood if we learn of his status ahead of time.

Ready for the good news? He has the slate’s top projection, and he is only coming in at 14% owned per RotoGrinders.com.

Doncic is risky, but he’s the ultimate GPP play on this seven-game slate, ESPECIALLY if we don’t know if he’s playing until well after lock.

Gabe Vincent, PG/SG, Miami Heat ($3.3k)

Miami is rather stackable on this slate, and there’s numerous bodies from South Beach to consider. And no, I’m not talking about the ladies.

Heat players need to be on your radar, as Kyle Lowry was already out, and now Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo won’t play tonight.

Jimmy Butler, Max Strus, and a sea of Miami spares are also in play. However, I’ll get the party started with Vincent, who projects for 33 minutes and 26 fantasy points.

I’d imagine he plays more than that and is even more productive than his projection, as OKC is quite the mouth-watering matchup.

The question, as you may imagine, is how many Heat is too many?

Duane Washington Jr., PG/SG, Phoenix Suns ($4.2k)

There’s also the Suns. Devin Booker remains sidelined, but the team will also be without Chris Paul and perhaps Deandre Ayton tonight.

Cam Payne remains out, as well.

That has me looking to Duane Washington Jr., who has been pretty productive over his last two outings.

  • 31.25 fantasy points
  • 27 fantasy points

And he didn’t top 25 minutes in either of those contests.

Washington could be in charge of a lot of the playmaking and scoring in this one, although you can also look to Mikal Bridges, Damion Lee, and others.
