Fantasy Football: 49ers, Brandon Aiyuk Nearing New Deal
The hold in may finally be coming to an end. San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk reportedly met with the franchise recently and could be progressing toward a new deal.
Aiyuk has been the subject of endless trade rumors, with the Pittsburgh Steelers seemingly topping his list of possible destinations.
To this point, the Brandon Aiyuk trade rumors haven’t materialized into anything. That has industry experts assuming he really wants to remain in the Bay Area, and it’s simply a numbers game.
That appears to be where this saga is headed, as Aiyuk’s future looks brightest if he’s playing for the Niners. You can probably safely draft Aiyuk in 2024 fantasy football leagues, regardless, but his value is better if he signs a new deal and stays in San Francisco.
Given the recent progress, that is the assumed outcome. Now may be a good time to buy low on Aiyuk in dynasty leagues before the contract extension is made official.
