Justin Fields and the Top NFL DFS Picks for Week 14 at DraftKings

  • His immense rushing upside makes Justin Fields one of the top Week 14 NFL DFS picks.
  • Joe Mixon is chalky, but he’s still one of the top Week 14 plays thanks to a huge role.
  • Need savings? Isaiah Likely is cheap and offers value on the DraftKings main slate.

This is being propped up as a bad week for daily fantasy football. To be fair, there are several games with disgustingly low totals, but honestly, I am loving this slate.

Working specifically with DraftKings pricing, I already took a look at some players I am fading in week 14 NFL DFS. It’s now time to provide my top week 14 NFL DFS picks.

Let’s get the party started with my favorite quarterback for the week 14 daily fantasy football slate, and work our way to a team defense we can feel good about on DK.

Justin Fields, QB, Bears ($6.8k)

I don’t know if anyone ever needs a huge sales pitch to play one of the best running QBs in all of football, but here goes.

Divisional games can always be tough to predict, but Fields smashed (24 points) the last time he faced Detroit, and it’s no secret they’ve struggled against mobile passers in 2023.

Fields is basically matchup proof, and he enters week 14 with the third best fantasy points projection at the position. He weirdly isn’t that chalky, coming in at 9% ownership so far, per RotoGrinders.com.

That ownership could increase, but I don’t think it’d get me off of him. He’s one of the best points per dollar plays and in a possible shootout environment.

Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals ($6.1k)

Jake Browning and Ja’Marr Chase are fairly chalky on this slate, and Mixon is unsurprisingly also garnering ownership. This is chalk I don’t mind eating, as Mixon has a massive role these days.

That’s honestly always been the case, but 25 touches on 26 opportunities last week is a next level role. He’s always been a guy with a nice floor, but 21+ fantasy points in two of his last three outings has him displaying solid upside, too.

This week he draws a soft matchup with the Colts, who rank 29th against RBs in points allowed on the season. They haven’t been much better (28th) over the last four weeks, either.

Whether he’s running, getting check downs, or scoring TDs, Mixon is getting all of the chances to pay off that he can get. The role, price, and matchup are all there, so I’m getting my fork and knife and eating this chalk all day in week 14.

DJ Moore, WR, Bears ($6.5k)

As it turns out, adding a stud wide receiver to Chicago has opened things up for the Bears offensively. It hasn’t always been perfect, but DJ Moore has largely been just what the doctor ordered.

Moore’s connection with Justin Fields is pretty legit, while he popped off for 22.6 fantasy points the last time he faced a beatable Detroit defense.

We know he has monstrous upside, but for some reason people mistake the Lions as a defense to fear. They certainly are not scary when defending the pass, as they rank 29th against fantasy passers over the past four weeks, and 29th against wide receivers in that same span.

Suffice to say, I love the Fields/Moore stack this week. Consider running it back with a Lions offensive weapon, as well.

Isaiah Likely, TE, Ravens ($3.5k)

I think this is a week to pay all the way up at tight end, or punt the position. Likely feels punt-y, as he’s really cheap and is going to garner some ownership thanks to a decent role and the savings he provides.

Remember, he’s replacing an injured Mark Andrews, and right away in week 12 he turned six targets into four catches for 40 yards. That doesn’t sound incredible, but the target count is decent, and we know he’s a good athlete who shined in spot starts last season.

Likely is going to get some looks, and he could offer nice upside in a soft matchup. This week he gets the Rams, who rank 26th at stopping tight ends this year.

The beauty here is he’s so cheap, that it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t go off. I honestly could argue to go even cheaper at tight end this week, but Likely is probably the best cheap option in terms of safety and upside.

Denver Broncos Defense ($2.8k)

Lastly, let’s consider paying down and using the Broncos defense. They disappointed last week, but still had a respectable five fantasy points against a solid Houston team.

I think they’ll have a better showing this week, as they have a huge divisional clash with an up and down Chargers team that can’t seem to get out of their own way.

Seriously, there’s no denying the Bolts’ offensive talent and upside, but they have not been producing consistently in 2023. They have just 16 total points over their last two games, and haven’t put up more than 21 points since week 10.

Denver has been a pretty stingy unit ever since getting destroyed by the Miami Dolphins. This is a really nice price to pay for them in perhaps their biggest game of the year.

Other Great NFL DFS Picks for Week 14

  • Joshua Dobbs, QB, Vikings ($5.9k)
  • Zack Moss, RB, Colts ($5.9k)
  • Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Bengals ($7.6k)
  • Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs ($7.8k)
  • San Francisco 49ers Defense ($3.7k)

I also don’t mind Dobbs and Moss this week. Dobbs is a really nice price for a guy who offers a solid floor due to his legs, while the return of Justin Jefferson should raise his ceiling a bit. Moss is mega chalk, but his role is massive and he has a nice matchup against Cincinnati.

Chase is also set to be chalky, but he’s Ja’Marr Chase and he is simply way too cheap. Kelce is expensive for a bad tight end position, but he’s fairly priced given what he is actually capable of. If you don’t want to risk punting TE, just pay for the top stud on the slate.

There’s also the 49ers, who could be facing Drew Lock this week. San Francisco can always be a tough out, but if they are facing Lock, I may consider spending cash on a defense in week 14.

That does it for my top week 14 NFL DFS picks. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
