Top NBA Summer League DFS Picks for July 15, 2023 – Mike Daum and More

The NBA Summer League DFS train keeps on rolling on Saturday. The day is broken up into multiple slates, but the one you’ll want to concern yourself with arrives at 3:30 pm CT.

No matter which NBA DFS Summer League picks you see here, you’ll want to do your best to stay in front of lineup news and any surprise inactives.

For me personally, the deathknell for NBA Summer League fantasy basketball is undeniably the random 0s that sink my squads. There are a litany of fine plays, but you can’t just hope to get a good lineup – you need to avoid the dreaded goose egg.

With that, let’s dive into my favorite NBA Summer League DFS picks for Saturday’s main slate.

Jordan Ford, PG, Sacramento Kings ($7.1k)

Ford stands out to me, seeing as a lot of the PG options that seem viable are super pricey on this slate.

I think Dalen Terry’s price and volume will make him appealing – assuming he’s low-owned – but Ford has had rock solid minutes and production.

That probably won’t change, either, seeing as productive rookie Colby Jones got hurt in Sacramento’s last game.

He did want to return to the contest, though, so keep an eye on his status.

Ford could always be randomly rested, but the Jones injury renders that unlikely. If Ford can see the 30 minutes he’s been getting, he feels like a smash play at this price.

Ryan Rollins, SG, Washington Wizards ($5.5k)

I really like Washington guys on this slate, as it’s a reasonable possibility we see the Wiz rest some bigger names. Johnny Davis is interesting if I’m wrong, but if he sits, Rollins is way too cheap to ignore.

Rollins and perhaps even Patrick Baldwin Jr. look good here simply based on price, but Rollins has been sharp lately, registering 25+ fantasy points in three straight outings.

Washington played last night, though, so be careful with any Wizards and do your best to get confirmation the guys you use are actually playing.

Jaylen Martin, SF, New York Knicks ($5.9k)

Speaking of guys not playing, Martin sat last night and burned me pretty good. I’d imagine he’s back in the saddle for Saturday, however, which means two things.

First, that he’s a screaming value at this price, and secondly that you better watch out for a different Knicks player to sit today.

Martin has played at least 26 minutes in every game he’s participated in so far, and has 24+ fantasy points in two straight contests. He’s a terrific value as long as he returns to the lineup on Saturday.

Mike Daum, PF, Sacramento Kings ($6k)

I was all over Daum as a value two games ago, and he’s done nothing but impress in limited action.

He put up 19 fantasy points in just 14 minutes three games ago, and had gotten it going over his last two (33 and 26 fantasy points), as well.

Daum should be in position for a start here, seeing as Neemias Queta has been ruled out for the remainder of NBA Summer League.

You’ll want to make sure he starts, but Daum is a proven scorer and can also clean the glass decently. If he can get you 25 minutes again, he’s a great play at this price.

Kai Sotto, C, Orlando Magic ($4.2k)

Lastly, I’ll leave you with Kai Sotto as one of my favorite NBA DFS Summer League picks for Saturday.

Orlando has weirdly worked hard to not hand this dude minutes, but he finally played in their last game and did not disappoint.

Sotto is a solid per-minute producer, and if he can get us 17 fantasy points for every 13 minutes he plays, I’ll play him all day at this price.

There’s also a chance the Magic start resting some of their big-name prospects, too. Should that happen, the Magic will have even less incentive to keep Sotto in bubble wrap.

Hopefully these NBA Summer League DFS picks set you off down a winning path. There will be a lot of salary left over if you use all of my plays above, but I encourage you to pick your spots and then think carefully about how to finish up your lineups.

As usual, Kenneth Lofton Jr. might be a fun way to pay up and close things out, but the Grizzlies are another strong candidate to rest some key bodies.

They did play late last night, after all, so be sure to get as much concrete information as you can before clicking Enter today.
