Best MLB DFS Stacks for Tuesday (8/20)

Baseball fans are blessed on Tuesday, as we get a massive 13-game MLB DFS main slate over at DraftKings. Or is it a curse?

It’s tough to know, seeing as star pitchers are getting shelled a lot these days, and it’s forever difficult to predict which random offenses will explode.

The entire process is still fun, though, and when you hit the top MLB DFS stacks, it can be a ton of fun. So, which daily fantasy baseball stacks should be on your radar on Tuesday night? I’ve got you covered with my favorite four.

Texas Rangers

Mitch Keller is a talented pitcher and he has a nice 25% K rate against lefties. Unfortunately, he otherwise has issues against left-handed hitting, giving up a .233 ISO and a 49% hard hit rate to that side of the plate.

Texas has been inconsistent offensively, but they have as many as five batters in tonight’s lineup from the left side. The gun starts with Corey Seager who hit two bombs last night, but Josh Smith and Nathaniel Lowe can also help out from the left side.

You can complete the stack with Josh Jung (.235 ISO) and Adolis Garcia from the right side.

Boston Red Sox

This is another potential trap spot. Ronel Blanco has been very good overall on the year, but he wasn’t great when he faced Boston previously.

More importantly, he has struggled against lefties (.207 ISO) and the Red Sox have several to throw at him. Rafael Devers and Jalen Duran get things rolling, but the Red Sox in general look like an under the radar stack we can give a shot on a huge slate.

Minnesota Twins

The Twins get a park downgrade as they travel to San Diego to battle the Padres, but facing Martin Perez might negate that.

Perez is often able to fight his way through innings, but he can also get eaten alive. His .205 ISO allowed to righties isn’t great, and he’s also giving up a .372 wOBA on the year.

Just as bad is a 53% hard hit rate to that side of the plate, while he’s walking batters at a 9% clip and he doesn’t miss enough bats.

Minnesota, meanwhile, has a respectable .159 team ISO against southpaws. Ryan Jeffers, Carlos Santana, and Royce Lewis look the best here, but a full stack is also appealing.

New York Yankees

Hats off to Matthew Boyd, who latched on with the Cleveland Guardians and had a really nice outing in his debut with the team.

Unfortunately, I don’t fully believe Boyd is suddenly an elite pitcher, as he was quite erratic for the past several seasons. That might not be ideal in a date with the Yanks.

New York has a nasty .240 ISO against lefties, and Boyd gave up a .196 ISO and 45% hard hit rate last year against right-handed hitters.

This feels like a good spot to call for an Aaron Judge dong, but a full Yankees stack is much more fun.

Finding the Best MLB DFS Stacks on Tuesday (8/20)

My favorite MLB DFS stack for Tuesday is the Yankees. They’re at home in a great hitter’s park, the numbers look awesome, and Boyd is certainly someone who can be gotten to.

It’s a huge slate, too, so it’s possible they won’t even be all that chalky.

Want more leverage? You could consider stacking the Chicago White Sox. Robbie Ray looks good b y default, but he’s been erratic so far with the Giants and he’s currently projected to be the slate’s highest owned pitcher.

Chicago is probably going to get crushed here, but when ownership is that much out of control, rolling with a contrarian stack against a chalky arm can be just what the doctor ordered.

Hopefully my top MLB DFS stacks serve you well. Just make sure you don’t stretch yourself too thin and find a way to get some good pitching into your MLB DFS lineups. Thanks for reading and good luck!
