5 NFL PrizePicks Plays for Sunday, 1/29/23
NFL Conference Championship week is here. There’s a lot to take in here, whether it be with betting on the game or playing daily fantasy football. For the latter, be sure to hit up our NFL DFS picks page.
I’ll get you where you need to go somewhere in between, as well.
PrizePicks offers fantasy player props, and you can target several for Sunday’s two-game shenanigans. I have some plays I prefer, so let’s get to my favorite five.
Christian McCaffrey Over 56.5 Rushing Yards
You can get things started off with the free square, which is Joe Burrow over 0.5 passing yards. Next up is C-Mac getting to 57 rushing yards, which I feel is a lock.
To be fair, he has not been 100%, and he’s only hit this over in two of his last three games. However, this is the biggest game of the year, and the other reliable back the Niners tend to rely on is even less healthy.
On top of that, the Eagles are a bit vulnerable against the run. Given San Francisco’s bread and butter and the matchup at hand, I feel this is a low bar.
Brandon Aiyuk Over 44.5 Receiving Yards
While I do like McCaffrey to get 57 yards on the ground, that isn’t a major milestone. There’s plenty of room for him to hit that, and the Niners to have to take it to the air a bit, too.
Brock Purdy faces an uphill task here, to be sure. Philly’s pass defense is tough, and rookie quarterbacks are 0-4 in conference title games thus far.
That said, Purdy will have to find some success through the skies if the 49ers are to win. Or he’ll suck, and he’ll just throw all day while he plays from behind.
Either way, I love Aiyuk to benefit. Not only can he get this over on one play, but he’s been consistent, hitting the over four of his last five games. I think he gets it done again here.
George Kittle Over 4 Catches
Sticking with the 49ers here, I think this catch total is a bit low for Kittle. Brock Purdy has been able to find his tight end regularly since taking over as the starter, and he’s going to need him in this one.
Philly has done a decent job against tight ends, but Kittle is a bit of a beast.
He doesn’t need to tear them up or even score to help you out, of course. He just needs four or more receptions.
Obviously the goal is five to get the win here, but Kittle has pushed or topped this total in four of his last five outings. With Purdy likely under duress quite a bit here, I think he gets the ball to his safety net a bit more than usual.
Joe Mixon Over 3 Receptions
We finally exit the NFC and head to the AFC title game, where I see Joe Mixon being busy as a receiver. The Bengals could find success on the ground in this one, but I actually like the Chiefs at home and think they’ll have to pass more than anticipated.
Cincy would prefer to take shots down the field, but Mixon could be busy with the pressure cranked up a notch. He’s usually involved as a pass-catcher, anyways, and has pushed or topped this total in four of his last five games.
Oh, and guess who leads the league in receptions allowed to running backs? You guessed it – the Chiefs.
Robbie Gould Over 1.5 FGs Made
Back to the NFC title game I got for my final NFL PrizePicks play. That’ll be the Niners’ kicker, who has easily surpassed this total in four of his last five games.
As noted, the 49ers are in an odd spot with a rookie passer leading the charge, and the Eagles have a pretty stout defense.
I imagine some San Francisco drives stalling inside Philly territory, which should keep the aging Gould’s leg rather busy.
